The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert 5
The beautiful Palace Theatre in Syracuse will once again play host to The annual GREAT Salt City Blues Concert on Sunday, December 26 at 7:30 pm, (doors open at 6:00). Syracuse's best pays tribute to 6 legendary artists - Albert King, Nina Simone, Jimmy Cavallo, Little Milton, King Biscuit Boy & Reverend Gary Davis. This is an historic concert, a once in a life-time event, never to be repeated (not a jam session) featuring some of the area's greatest musicians.
The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert 5 is dedicated to the late Mark Gibson, who passed away December 8, 2020. Gibson was a much loved CNY musician who had performed at all 4 previous Great Salt City BLUES Concerts.
As a member of The Ron Spencer Band, Mark was the first performer at each previous concert and his performance with The Ron Spencer Band was a big part of the success of those concerts and set the bar high for all who had to perform afterwards.
Mark’s smiling face will be greatly missed at this year’s concert, but his spirit and presence will be felt by all who attend.

**NOTE FROM PROMOTER:
Please read below, this is from my October post that announced the The Great Salt City Blues Concert 5. Nothing has changed, I was prepared for this show and it will go on as planned.
And yes, please bring your proof of vaccination card or phone equivalent. Questions? I will be glad to answer, but most of those answers can be answered just by reading the post from below. Feel free to PM me, if further clarification is needed.
"This will be a socially distanced general admission seating show. Tickets sold will be limited to 400. That will leave approximately 100 empty seats plus ample standing areas. You are being asked to sit with who you come with and to leave a seat empty between the next party of people when possible. Doors open at 6:00 so you will have plenty of time to get yourselves situated before the show starts at 7:30.
I am also asking that all who attend be fully vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, please sit this one out unless you have a medical exception. It’s a vaccinated only show. The vaccine is far from perfect, but it’s the best protection we have at the moment to help ensure the safety of those who attend and participate.
Since everyone will be vaccinated, masks are encouraged, but not mandatory. If you sit with who you came with and use the social distancing seating plan, there is no need to wear your mask during the concert unless you choose to do so. It will be wise to wear your mask in the lobby, when getting a beverage and using the restrooms. You are adults, please act like a responsible one. Give people space and be smart.
I’ve decided to proceed with this show because I feel it’s important to provide Central New York music lovers with something to look forward to. We still need to enjoy life. This concert is for those that need it."
